Taiyo Yuden announces the addition of an ultra-small EIA 0402 case size (1.0 × 0.5 × 0.5 mm) to its CFCAP® line of super low distortion surface-mount multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC). The 0402 case size is suited for use in PLL (phase locked loop) and filter coupling circuits in mobile phones and other ultra-portable devices. CFCAP MLCCs offer good stability against voltage, heat, mechanical shocks, and other external energy surges. The nine available models in the series provide, depending on model selected, DC voltage ratings of 10, 16, and 25 V, and capacitance values ranging from 1000 to 4700 pF. CFCAP MLCCs offer an operating temperature range of – 55° C to +125° C.
