250 mA LDO Withstands 80 V Input

Linear Technology Corporation announces its high reliability (MP) grade, wider temperature range version of its LT3013, a micropower LDO with input voltage capability up to 80 V. The MP grade device is offered in the TSSOP package, and it operates from -55°C to +125°C junction temperature. It features low dropout voltage of 400 mV while delivering up to 250 mA of output current. The wide VIN capability of 3.3 V to 80 V and adjustable output from 1.24 V up to 60 V makes the LDO suitable for automotive, avionics, 48 V telecom back-up supplies and industrial control applications. With its low quiescent current of 65 µA (operating) and 1 µA (shutdown), the device improves battery life in battery-powered memory "keep alive" systems that require extended run times.
