LNA and Power Detector Support Broadband Applications

Hittite Microwave Corporation announces its low noise amplifier and a 54 dB log detector/controller which are suitable for automotive, broadband, cellular/3G, WiMAX/4G, military and test and measurement equipment applications between 100 MHz and 2.9 GHz. The HMC713MS8(E) Logarithmic Detector/Controller is fabricated in a SiGe BiCMOS process, and it converts RF signals at its input to a proportional output DC voltage. It operates with a supply voltage from +2.7 V to +5.5 V, and it consumes only 17 mA, making it suitable for applications such as RF transmitter power amplifier control, RSSI measurement in cellular base stations, radio links and radar. The HMC758LP3(E) is a GaAs pHEMT MMIC low noise amplifier that is suitable for cellular infrastructure, WiMAX and LTE/4G base station front-end receivers operating between 700 MHz and 2200 MHz.
