Low Noise Amplifiers Support IF and RF Applications

Hittite Microwave Corporation introduces five SMT packaged GaAs pHEMT MMIC low noise amplifiers (LNAs) that are suitable for automotive, broadband, cellular/3G, WiMAX/4G and fixed wireless applications from 175 MHz to 6 GHz. The HMC616LP3E, HMC617LP3E and HMC618LP3E are GaAs pHEMT MMIC low noise amplifiers that are rated from 175 to 660 MHz, 550 to 1200 MHz and 1700 to 2200 MHz, respectively. These high linearity LNA MMICs deliver up to 24 dB gain and 37 dBm output IP3, with noise a low figure of 0.5 dB. The HMC616LP3E, HMC617LP3E and HMC618LP3E are internally matched, and they are housed in pin-compatible and RoHS-compliant 3 mm² QFN SMT packages. All three LNAs operate from either a 3 or 5 V bias supply, and they feature an externally adjustable bias current.
