Downconverter RFIC

Hittite announces the release of a High IP3 dual downconverter RFIC which is designed for use in virtually all wireless infrastructure applications in the 1700 to 2200 MHz band, including those based on CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, GPRS, and EDGE standards. The HMC381LP6 operates from 1.7 to 2.2 GHz, and delivers +27 dBm input IP3. The passive mixer outputs and IF amplifier inputs are adjacently positioned so that an external IF filter can readily be placed in series between them. The device provides 9 dB of gain with a typical SSB noise figure of 12 dB. The single LO input requires only נ to +4 dBm of drive, allowing the converter to be driven directly from a synthesizer output. This highly integrated design supports IF frequencies between 50 and 300 MHz, requires no external baluns, and consumes only 260 mA from a single +5.0 V supply.
