RF SAW Filters

TriQuint Semiconductor announces its line of RF SAW (surface acoustic wave) filters for GSM /EDGE/WCDMA networks, offering standard 333 mm footprints, low insertion loss and high unwanted signal rejection. They are designed for key network applications including use in signal repeaters that extend and fill-in network coverage areas. The desirable rejection of the SAW filters helps ensure amplifier stability while their consistent footprint allows designers to re-use PCB layouts across the different frequency bands. In the smaller "Femtocells" used to provide a CPE (customer premise equipment) connection for 2 G and 3 G service, the size of SAW devices offers designers an alternative to bulkier materials.
