Fujitsu Microelectronics’ MB86K22, MB86K52, and MB39C316 ?mobile WiMAX chipset exhibits idle current of >0.500 mA in a 12-mm² package for devices such as smart phones and PDAs. The baseband-IC MB86K22 exhibits a bandwidth range from 3.500 to 20 MHz planned, and modulation including 16 and 64 QAM as well as QPSK in a 512/1024 FFT OFDMA using CMOS process technology. The RFIC MB86K52 yields frequency ranges from 2.295 to 3.620 GHz and bandwidth from 3.500 to 20 MHz in a 512/1024 FFT OFDMA using CMOS process technology. The power management IC, MB39C316, uses a one-cell Lithium ion battery in a power range from 2.700 to 4.900 V with DC/DC three-channel and LDO four-channel output with power voltage activation/deactivation sequence control on a I²C interface.
