Fox Electronics has expanded its XpressO oscillator series to include a 2.5 V LVDS VCXO version with a frequency range of 0.75 MHz through 1.0 GHz. The device is available in a miniature 5 mm x 3.2 mm package at the same price point as the larger 7 mm x 5 mm package. The configurable frequency XpressO oscillator series utilizes application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) that have been designed and developed by Fox, and concentrate on both noise reduction technologies as well as significantly lower jitter levels. The FVXO-LC52 oscillators use a third order Delta Sigma Modulator (DSM) to reduce noise levels comparable to traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators.
