Linear Power Amplifier

RF Micro Devices® introduces the RF5198 high-power linear power amplifier (PA) module for WCDMA handset applications. Measuring 3 × 3 × 0.9 mm, the RF5198 is a linear PA module that includes an on-chip power detector. The module has 50Ωinput and output and is internally. Manufactured on an advanced third-generation GaAs HBT process, the device is designed for use as the final RF amplifier in 3 V WCDMA handheld digital cellular equipment in the 1920 to 1980 MHz bands. The module features a digital control line to lower quiescent current for increased talk time in low power conditions.
