Spectrum Control, Inc. has increased the scope of custom designs and value-added services for its EMI filter plate line. These filter plates incorporate a variety of capacitive and inductive filter elements for RF isolation from 5 MHz to 1 GHz and are appropriate for cost-sensitive, high-volume, industrial applications. The company’s capabilities include custom filter plate assemblies with varying cable lengths and impedances; EMC evaluations and recommendations; and EMI filter solutions integrated with other components for enhanced system functionality. Additional customization includes filtered headers to replace unfiltered connectors on PC boards; flat conductor cables in various lengths; various conductor counts and terminations; and Spectrum Control’s filter plate lead stabilizer bar, which protects leads and capacitive elements during installation. For the defense and avionics industries, Spectrum Control customizes filter plates to improve the electromagnetic compliance (EMC) of electronic systems. The company can provide testing and analysis of filter plate assemblies to specific customer requirements.
