RF Switch

Anadigics announces an addition to its family of RF switches. The AWS5532 RF switch provides an impressive 10 W power rating, which is appropriate for applications such as automotive telematics, as well as GSM, CDMA, and WLAN mobile platforms. Configured as a SPDT switch, the AWS5532 provides good electrical performance to maintain signal integrity at frequencies up to 2.5 GHz. Typical performance characteristics at 2 GHz are a low insertion loss of 0.4 dB to minimize power loss, a return loss of 20 dB to prevent distortion, and an isolation of 28 dB to minimize port-to-port crosstalk. The device offers a P0.1 dB typical compression of +40.5 dBm. The RF switch uses Anadigics' pHEMT process to provide impressive ruggedness. The 3 × 3 × 1 mm, 12-pin S26 MLF package is designed for applications requiring RoHS components.
