NavSync Ltd and GainSpan Partner, Combining the Power of GPS and Wi-Fi

NavSync, Ltd, a leader in GPS navigation and timing technology announces a new strategic alliance with GainSpan Corporation, an innovator in Wi-Fi semiconductor technology. This alliance integrates GainSpan Corporation's GS1010 ultra low power SOC (System-On-a-Chip) and embedded software with NavSync's unique capability GPS receiver. The resulting new module, the NavTrac SLT can track as low as -150 dBm over an existing standard Wi-Fi network.

GainSpan Corporation's embedded 802.11 transceiver allows for the NavTrac SLT to support WPA2, WPA, WEP-64, WEP128 and no encryption options. The NavTrac SLT adds cost efficiency with compatibility to existing Wi-Fi networks as well as extended battery life technology.

The NavTrac SLT is capable of tracking over both indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi networks, enhancing the usefulness of location tracking applications in a wide variety of industries such as container yards, open pit mining, campus security, elderly and child safety and fleet management. GainSpan Corporation's Wi-Fi module is FCC recognized and the NavTrac SLT is FCC Certified Class 15C.
