GotZapp is bringing genuine self-expression, robust social networking and a rich multimedia experience to the mobile handset.
www.gotzapp.com is a new social networking service that lets users send and receive Zapps through their mobile phones. Zapps are Java-based "mobile Web sites" that include photo galleries, blogs, stories, music and media clips that can be viewed on most color wireless devices with Internet access. The service is currently available for use in the United States on Cingular and T-Mobile networks, and is also compatible with networks throughout Asia and Europe.
GotZapp is powered by Zirada Publisher, a free software download that allows users to create custom Zapps on their computers. Users simply download the Zirada software from www.gotzapp.com to create their own Zapps in a matter of minutes. GotZapp also provides pre-made Zapps featuring music, movie, and television stars.
GotZapp enables users to build and maintain social networks and share multimedia messages over their mobile phones, and the uses for GotZapp and the Zirada mobile editing software are limited only by users' imaginations. It's a perfect platform for sending rich multi-media communications to friends, clubs/organizations, customers, employees and businesses through mobile devices.
GotZapp is headed by Tim Loudermilk, former advertising technology design manager for Procter & Gamble. "Today's average cell phone is a powerful tool, but consumers are not fully utilizing the advanced wireless technology they already own," said Loudermilk.
