Wireless Communication on the Train; Surfing at 300 km/h

Wireless transmission of information or entertainment used in transportation is more demanding than stationary wired or wireless operations. Unless the equipment is a handheld, portable device, it must fulfill higher mechanical requirements, such as a wider operating temperature range. Reliable transmission in a fast-moving means of transportation is considerably more difficult than in a stationary or slow-moving device. However, improved rugged technology in embedded computing continues to gain ground.
