Voltage-controlled Oscillator

Mini-Circuits announces the ROS-6030C-219+ voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) for wireless and point-to-point communications applications centered at 6 GHz. The VCO employs internal frequency doubling to cover a tunable range of 5890 to 6010 MHz. The VCO covers the frequency range with tuning voltages of 0.5 to 5.0 V and typical tuning sensitivity ranging from 62 to 90 MHz/V. By restricting frequency multiplication to 2X, the ROS-6030C-219+ VCO achieve typical output power of +2 dBm while maintaining low phase noise of 𤩖 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier and 𤪀 dBc/Hz offset 1 MHz from the carrier. Harmonics are 㪮 dBc or less and non-harmonic spurious content is typically 㫲 dBc. With a broad 3-dB modulation bandwidth of 220 MHz, the VCO is well suited for wideband analog and digital modulation formats. Peak-to-peak frequency pulling is typically 0.7 MHz while frequency pushing is typically 2 MHz/V. The RoHS-compliant oscillator is supplied in a compact surface-mount CK1113 package measuring 0.50 × 0.50 × 0.22 inches (12.70 × 12.70 × 5.59 mm). Model ROS-6030C-219+ has an operating temperature range of 㫏 to +85°C and a storage temperature range of 㫏 to +100°C.
