Vincotech introduces two additional Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) converters in flow 1 housings. Two modules with 100A (10-F106NIA100SA-M135F) and 150A (10-F106NIA150SA-M136F), respectively, are available. Packaged in flow 1 housings measuring 82 mm by 38 mm and 17 mm in height, these two new modules bridge the gap between legacy NPC converter modules in flow 0 and flow 2 housings, which are also based on IGBT3 technology. The newly introduced modules are suited for 20 kW and 26 kW (cos =1) at 20 kHz switching frequency. One very desirable feature of the NPC converter is that it enables 600V components to be used in 1200V applications. It also outperforms 1200V devices in terms of both speed and price. Designed for lowest inductance and equipped with IGBT3 components, these modules provide the perfect solutions for solar, UPS, and fast-switching motor drive applications.
